Terms & Conditions
These Terms and Conditions apply to all properties managed by Temple Retreats Byron Bay unless otherwise specified in the property listing, booking confirmation or additional property information provided prior to your stay. Please take a moment to read the following Terms and Conditions. By proceeding with your booking, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agree to these conditions.
1. Check-in and Check-out
Standard check-in is from 3:00 pm. Standard check-out is strictly by 10:00 am. Late check-outs must be arranged in advance and may incur an additional fee.
2. Payment and Security Deposit
A security deposit pre-authorisation may be held on your nominated credit card prior to or on arrival to cover incidental charges, damage, missing items or additional cleaning where required. Provided the property is left in accordance with these Terms and Conditions, the security deposit will be released within 7 business days of departure. By accepting these Terms and Conditions, you authorise Temple Retreats Byron Bay to charge your nominated credit card for any outstanding accommodation charges, approved pet fees, excessive cleaning, damage, replacement of missing items, lockout call-out fees or any other reasonable costs incurred as a result of a breach of these Terms and Conditions. Where practicable, Temple Retreats Byron Bay will notify you before processing any such charges and provide supporting information upon request.
3. House Rules No Parties or Events
Temple Retreats properties are intended for peaceful stays. Parties, events, excessive noise or disruptive behaviour are not permitted and may result in immediate termination of your booking without refund and/or a deduction may be made from your Bond. Quiet Hours Please respect neighbouring properties by observing quiet hours between 9:00 pm and 8:00 am. Maximum Occupancy The number of guests must not exceed the number confirmed on your booking unless approved in writing prior to arrival. Visitors Only registered guests are permitted at the property unless prior approval has been obtained from Temple Retreats Byron Bay. Additional Property Rules Some properties have additional house rules relating to amenities such as swimming pools, fireplaces, wood heaters, spas, saunas, EV chargers, pets or shared facilities. Where applicable, these will be provided before or during your stay and form part of these Terms and Conditions.
4. Smoking and Pets Smoking
Smoking and vaping are not permitted inside the property or in any area where smoke may enter the home. Additional cleaning charges may apply where smoking has occurred. Pets Pets are welcome at selected properties by prior approval only. Applicable pet fees apply, and pets must not be left unattended unless otherwise agreed. Guests are responsible for cleaning up after their pets and ensuring they do not cause damage to the property or disturb neighbouring properties.
5. Damage and Departure
Guests are responsible for any damage, breakages or loss caused to the property or its contents during their stay. If anything is accidentally damaged during your stay, we kindly ask that you let us know as soon as possible so we can arrange any necessary repairs or replacements. Before departure, please ensure: All dishes have been washed and put away. Rubbish has been placed in the external bins provided. Furniture has been returned to its original position if moved. Windows and doors are closed and locked. Lights, air conditioning, heating and appliances are switched off. The property is left in a reasonably clean and tidy condition, allowing for normal use during your stay. If the property requires cleaning beyond the standard departure clean, additional cleaning charges will apply at $65 per hour.
6. Keys and Lockouts
Lost keys, damaged remotes or guest lockouts requiring staff attendance may incur a call-out and/or replacement fee.
7. Commercial Use
Commercial photography, filming, events or functions are not permitted without prior written approval from Temple Retreats Byron Bay.
8. Property Maintenance
Temple Retreats Byron Bay reserves the right to access the property during your stay to carry out essential repairs, maintenance, inspections or respond to an emergency. Wherever practicable, reasonable notice will be provided before access is required. To maintain our properties to a high standard, routine servicing such as lawn mowing, gardening, pool and spa maintenance, pest control, window cleaning or other scheduled maintenance may take place during your stay. Every effort will be made to minimise any disruption to your enjoyment of the property.
9. Use of Amenities
Guests use all property amenities and recreational facilities at their own risk. This includes, but is not limited to, swimming pools, spas, fireplaces, wood heaters, fire pits, BBQs, playgrounds, outdoor furniture and recreational equipment. Children must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times, particularly around water, fireplaces and other potential hazards.
10. Lost Property
Any items left behind after departure will be retained for a reasonable period where practicable. Guests are responsible for any postage or courier costs associated with returning lost property. Temple Retreats Byron Bay accepts no responsibility for items that cannot be located after departure.
11. Liability
Temple Retreats Byron Bay accepts no responsibility for the loss, damage or theft of guests' personal belongings. Guests are responsible for ensuring the property is locked and secure whenever it is left unattended.
12. Breach of Terms
Failure to comply with these Terms and Conditions may result in additional charges, cancellation of the booking or immediate termination of your stay without refund, where permitted by law.
13. Right to Refuse or Cancel a Booking
Temple Retreats Byron Bay reserves the right to refuse, cancel or terminate a booking where permitted by law, including where a guest has provided false or misleading information, breached these Terms and Conditions, failed to comply with property rules or where the safety, security or wellbeing of the property, neighbouring residents, staff or other guests may be at risk. Where a booking is terminated due to a breach of these Terms and Conditions, refunds may not be provided, subject to applicable Australian Consumer Law.
